So, let's dive in, embrace the sweetness, and spread happiness, one heart-shaped cookie at a time!
By adjusting the filling level in the mold, you can yield different quantities of cookies. When filling the mold halfway, it will produce 12 cookies. However, if you opt to fill it with less than half the amount, you can expect a higher yield of 24 cookies. Questions about the cookies come up quite often, so here are the most applicable ones to consider:
-
Can I use salted butter instead of unsalted butter?
- While it's best to use unsalted butter in baking to have control over the salt content, you can use salted butter if that's all you have. Just remember to adjust the amount of additional salt called for in the recipe.
-
Can I use margarine instead of butter in cookies?
- Yes, you can use margarine as a substitute for butter in cookies.
-
Can I substitute the all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour?
- Absolutely! If you follow a gluten-free diet, feel free to use a gluten-free flour blend as a substitute for all-purpose flour. Just ensure it is a 1:1 ratio substitute and adjust the amount as needed.
-
How do I prevent the cookies from spreading too much?
- To prevent excessive spreading, make sure your butter is softened but not melted. Also, chilling the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before baking helps the cookies hold their shape.
-
How long do the cookies stay fresh?
- When stored properly in an airtight container at room temperature, these heart-shaped cookies should stay fresh for up to a week. However, they're so delicious that they usually disappear much sooner!
